ORGANIC MEAT REAL TASTE

Greek Short-Horn Beef
The animals of the native Greek short-horned cattle breed are small-bodied, slow-growing animals, resistant to disease and harsh weather conditions, frugal in their dietary needs, long-lived, and highly fertile.
They roam freely on pastures, climbing mountains with sparse vegetation, their small size and limited food requirements make this possible. This breed is ideal for organic farming due to its minimal care requirements. Finally, it produces meat of high nutritional value and unique flavor.

Buffalo
Water buffalo were brought to Greece from Asia during the campaign of Xerxes, having been used by soldiers for transport due to their exceptional strength and endurance. In the 1960s-80s their population began to decline dramatically. The Greek water buffalo is characterized as a "purebred" and rare species.
It is a native animal, fully adapted to its environment and completely accustomed to humans. It is larger and stronger than a common cow, hardy and resilient, with a notable characteristic of rarely falling ill. It is raised and winters freely in wetlands, where it enjoys covering its body with a layer of mud (for protection from insects) and feeding on reed beds, in doing so, it clears open areas where birds gather.
Their meat, bold and full-flavored, is of particularly high nutritional value. 100g of buffalo meat contains just 130 calories, while the equivalent amount of beef contains 260-300. Its iron content is 2-3%, compared to just 0.3% in veal. Buffalo meat contains 1.8g of fat, while veal contains 20.69g.
Saturated fat in buffalo is 0.6g, versus 8.13g in veal. Buffalo cholesterol is 61mg, versus 90mg in veal.
It contains calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, and manganese. It is ideal for individuals who need high biological value protein, such as athletes.

Black Pig
The Greek black pig originates from ancient Greece. Centuries later, the breed appears to have traveled with Greek colonists to Southern Italy (Nero di Nebrodi), Sicily, Corsica, and Spain (Pata Negra) and thus established the now world-famous prosciutto and the cured meat jamón ibérico.
Characteristics of this breed include resilience to weather conditions and resistance to disease. Black pig farming is extensive — the animals are born and live in their natural environment, feeding on spontaneous vegetation: acorns, oak, beech, chestnut, bracken root, grass, etc. The animals are monitored but free-ranging, maintaining their wellbeing and welfare. If dietary supplementation is needed, the farmer simply provides grains and legumes.
The black pig's slow growth and way of life produce meat of high complexity. Its fat contains up to 50% monounsaturated fatty acids, such as alpha-linolenic acid, while its meat has nearly double the iron content of common pork. Black pig meat is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, which act as cardioprotective and anti-inflammatory agents.
Due to its diet of fruits and roots combined with corn and barley, and its daily "walk" through the mountains, the black pig has dark, flavorful meat with exceptional aromatic concentration in the flesh. Although it has noticeably more fat than conventional pork, its composition is entirely different.
The meat is darker and juicier than conventional pork, and rich in iron, proteins, trace elements, and minerals essential to the body. Red meats from game or game-like animals such as the black pig typically require overnight marinating and slow cooking.
